VentureAccelerator is an MTECH program open to University of Maryland faculty and graduate students. VentureAccelerator guides the commercialization of intellectual property created at the University of Maryland through new venture creation.

VentureAccelerator is a selective program designed to assist faculty and graduate students truly committed to the hard work of creating new companies based on innovative intellectual property.

Once accepted, VentureAccelerator companies receive intense, hands-on assistance with a range of new business processes, including market validation, business planning, staffing and initial funding through grants or equity investment. (web site)

  • Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (MTECH)

An institute of the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering, MTECHaccelerates new ventures, spurs economic growth, and brings university expertise to Maryland companies through technology entrepreneurship and research programs. (web site)

  • Technology Advancement Program (TAP)

An MTECH initiative, the Technology Advancement Program (TAP) is a leading venture incubator for early stage technology companies. TAP expedites the maturation of young firms by providing a unique bundle of services and resources, ranging from intense mentoring and funding introductions to extensive technical resources and low-cost physical infrastructure.   • National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA)

The National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance fosters invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship in higher education as a way of creating innovative, commercially viable, and socially beneficial businesses and employment opportunities in the United States. The NCIIA welcomes proposals for commercially viable projects that are technologically innovative and show promise to improve the environment and the human condition.
